Sri RamaJanmabhoomi Mandir Nirmaan Abhiyaan

रामो विग्रहवान् धर्मः ॥

Shri Ram is the embodiment of Dharma. He is the soul of Bharat. A grand temple on the Shri Rama Janma Bhumi site at Ayodhya is the perpetual inspiration to all Bharateeyas and devotees of Shri Ram have been fighting for this ceaselessly for the last 492 years. In 76 battles of the past, more than four lakh devotees of Shri Ram have sacrificed their lives. The result of a series of movements over the last 36 years has been that people have risen above identities of gender, caste, class, language, sect, region and have emerged as one society with the thought of building the grand temple for Shri Ram. The outcome of their unparalleled sacrifices has been that on Nov 9th, 1989, a Shilanyas Puja was conducted at the Sri Rama Janma Bhumi site by a member of the Scheduled Caste, Shri Kameshwar Chaupal, in the presence of Sants.

This matter of faith got entangled in the long processes of courts (from the Sessions Court to the Supreme Court). Based on Puranic evidence, archaeological excavations, ground penetrating radar pictures and historical evidence, a five-judge Bench of the Supreme Court on Nov 9th , 2019, delivered an unanimous verdict and said that ‘the 14,000 square feet of land belonged to Ram Lalla.’ Truth has been established. Devotion, faith, and belief have won along with evidence and facts.

On February 5th , 2020, Government of Bharat has formed the Sri Ram Janmabhumi Teertha Kshetra Trust and handed over the 70 acres of acquired land to the Trust. After that, on March 25th, 2020, Sri Ram Lalla has been moved from a temple of tarpaulin to be reinstalled in His temporary new wooden temple.

A dream and resolve of centuries came to be fulfilled at a divine moment on August 5th , 2020 when in the auspicious presence of respected Mahant Shri Nrutya Gopaldas ji , Sants and Acharyas representing various spiritual institutions from across the nation and the Sarsanghchalak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Dr Mohan ji Bhagwat, our beloved and honourable Prime Minister of the nation Shri Narendra Modi ji performed the Bhumi Puja for the Ram Mandir. On this occasion, water from more than 3000 rivers and teerthas across Bharat, soil brought from holy institutions of various castes, communities and the homes of the martyred Karsevaks was used in the Bhumi Puja, spiritually bringing all Bharatiyas to the divine site.

Venerated Saints have exhorted people to establish Shri Ram and the values of His life in their hearts along with the construction of the grand temple at Sri Ram Janma Bhumi. Shri Ram had roamed barefoot through jungles for 14 years. He reached every section of society. He affectionately embraced those people who were deprived and neglected, gave them a sense of belonging and became a friend of everyone. He respected Jataayu as his father. He restored a position of dignity for women. He destroyed demons and eliminated their terrorism. Ram Rajya, the rule of Rama, was abound with mutual love and goodwill, friendship, compassion and empathy, affection, unity and kinship, health and lives filled with prosperity. All of us need to summon the same steely resolve and collective will and effort to make Bharat like that once again.

Call for Dedication

Charity and donation have been essential traits of Bharat since ancient times. It has been the eternal and essential nature of the affluent people to give means of sustenance to students, retired people, mendicants and bhikshus. Donating to build Dharmshalas for use by devotees at temples and other places, extending other kinds of assistance has also been considered as a social responsibility. It is in this spirit that the Shri Ram Janma Bhumi Teertha Kshetra Trust seeks donations and assistance from the entire society. The way a humble squirrel helped Shri Ram to build a Setu ( bridge)  across the sea, it is requested to donate and become a part of this sacred project.

  1. अयोध्या में बन रहे राम मंदिर की डिजाइन में हो सकता है बदलाव, नहीं बदलेगा मूल ढांचा

Key points:

Key points:

August 5th is a milestone : Ram Mandir and more

  • Dr. Ratan Sharda

Rebuilding of Ram Temple has re-ignited our memories buried deep under the embers of forgotten history.

August 5, 2020, is a historic day for many reasons, not just a day on which the rebuilding of Ram Mandir will begin. August 15, 1947, was supposed to be a day when we broke away from colonialism and rebuild Bharat on the lines on which it had gained prominence in the comity of nations for centuries before foreign invaders slowly choked out its spirit in different ways.

Unfortunately, it did not happen. We were told that India was never a nation but British had made it into a nation and Nehru ji was trying to create a new idea of India, so we can stay united. With this single argument, we were trained to forget our entire knowledge-based heritage that has at least 8,000 years of documented history.

August 5 will be a milestone in post-independent India which will be remembered for —

• Rebuilding of the Ram Temple at the very site where it was destroyed

• Restoring our pride in our ancient perennial history and civilisation

• Snatching back the right to interpret our history from colonial historians and their

fellow travellers – the Marxist historians

• Decolonising our minds

Visit Mathura and your heart bleeds when you see the real janmsthan (birth place) of Krishna embedded in the peripheral wall of the giant mosque Aurangzeb built by destroying the Krishna Janmasthan temple. You visit Kashi Vishwanath temple. Before you bow to the sacred Jyotirlinga in a temple rebuilt by Ahilyabai Holkar, your heart sinks looking at the original sacred Nandi bull staring vacantly in the direction where the original Shivling was consecrated eons back – converted to mosque by Aurangzeb.

Hindus waged a sustained battle to restore Ram Temple to them for 492 years in the very location where it existed before it was destroyed by Mughals. Apart from a legal fight, we saw a mass movement like none, including the freedom struggle, when millions of people came on the roads in a peaceful manner starting in 1986 and culminating in 2020. A movement sustained in different phases for 30 years before it reached the final stages in courts of law. It was a first in Hindu society that the society rose as one irrespective of caste or creed – whether poor or rich, from north to south and from west to east – to get back the land where original temple existed. And, finally emerged victorious.

Our freedom struggle was an outcome of many factors. When all the factors came together, we were free. But it was a victory that came at a huge loss – loss of one third of our land and millions of lives. It was a parting kick from our erstwhile colonial masters. We are still bleeding. But refusal to go by colonial justice and lectures by their leftovers about Ram being everywhere, Hindus kept the battle on and finally won it against the entire system seeped in colonial thoughts arrayed against them. Hindus refused to be shamed by Left-Secular groups and settle for something demeaning like Mathura or Kashi that would bleed our hearts and drain our emotions when we visited these temples.

The colonial historians and their lackeys had created a narrative that Hindu society had nothing to offer, that Bharat was a naturally endowed land populated by orthodox, casteist, ignorant lethargic people who knew nothing beyond caste and superstition. They had no history to call their own and they had no knowledge to call their own. The entire idea was to strip Indians of their self-respect, their pride and their knowledge systems.

The enormous knowledge base Bharat had in every possible branch of philosophy, art and science was stolen or stripped off its Bharatiya roots. Muslim invaders destroyed universities, temples and knowledge system structured around them and our sense of self-esteem by destroying our centres of faith, our murtis. The official records tell us that even after burning the Nalanda University and destroying Taxila and Vikramshila, burning libraries of temples and priests; Bharat, even today, is left with 3 million manuscripts in Sanskrit, Pali and Prakrit!

The bleeding of our economy that began under Muslim invaders was fine-tuned by British. We were impoverished while colonial masters prospered in every sense. By the time British were challenged by us, they had created a huge West educated populace seeped in western world view that saw India only as a land of widow burners, casteist and orthodox backward looking society, with no intellect of its own. We were told that Kalidasa was Shakespeare of India though Kalidasa was born centuries before Shakespeare. We were told Chanakya was India’s Machiavelli though he mastered the statecraft thousands of years earlier. And we accepted it. Only calling card that Bharatiya people were left with was caste system.

Rebuilding of Ram Temple has re-ignited our memories buried deep under the embers of forgotten history. In a way, the people-driven struggle prolonged by Marxist historians gave us time to dig up our true history, the cruel history of Muslim invaders’ atrocities and loss of our national identity that any Indian would be proud of.

Suddenly, temples and their histories have become centres of attraction and wonder for our youth. Taj Mahal is not the only wonder, but we have 1000s of such wonders. Indians have discovered how their temples were pillaged, populace looted, raped and converted. It was the history that our Left –Secular historians wished us to forget. The struggle for Ram Temple turned out to be a struggle to rediscover our self-identity.

This struggle for restoration of pride was not against anybody, it was for restoration of our rights over our land, our history. Thus, the long litigation instigated by left historians forced us to re-discover the truth behind Mughals and Tipu Sultans, the truth behind poor cap stitching devout Aurangzeb. Historians who had been banished from the university shelves, the selfless researchers and public intellectuals like Dharampal were brought back. Young Indians rose to fill in the gaps in our history with meticulous research and rebuilding of our true history, highlight our heritage and challenge the narrative set by British and their copy cats, the Marxist historians. The first Indian to call out the fakery of Aryan Invasion Theory, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar, was rediscovered.

This renaissance we see in Indian intellectual scene is the result of Ram Mandir movement. And, this is the reason why the entire Left and so-called liberal class was opposed to Ram Temple tooth and nail. They understood the repercussions of this movement. This is the reason why RSS became the prime hate symbol for the Left-Liberal all over again. RSS not just created this environment but went onto inspire an entire generation to snatch back the initiative from these groups to restore history and heritage in proper perspective.

This churn in the sphere of knowledge has finally led to decolonising our minds. There had been attempts by our leaders beginning from Swami Vivekananda to decolonise our minds. It has been a continuous exercise since then. But ideological adversaries had major advantages – head start since the time of British, absorbing the tricks of the trade taught by the British, inferiority complex of the ruling class represented by Pandit Nehru and his readiness to outsource the intellectual battle ground to the Left and providing them huge resources vis-a-vis a weak Bharat rooted intellectual class that was kept out of the powerful elite and never allowed to use any resources.

Thankfully, there were organisations like RSS, great indigenous, rooted leaders like Madan Mohan Malaviya, Dr. Ambedkar, KM Munshi, Rajagopalachari and many others who kept the flame glowing for the right moment. Veteran RSS thinker Ranga Hari says your view point depends on your stand point. It took years to change that stand point from western land of Greenwich time to Ujjain based Indian timelines of Mahakaal. As the stand point changed, the view point changed too. Now the view point will be defined by Ram Mandir. This is the historic time when real decolonising of Indian mind has begun. Bharat will no more be apologetic about its past, nor about the path it chooses to regain its glory.

10 Key Takeaways from the Supreme Court Verdict on Sri Ram Janmabhumi

Key Takeaways from the Ayodhya Verdict

In its 1045 pages long judgment+ by the 5 judges bench+ headed by Chief Justice of India, His Lordship Mr Ranjan Gogoi and comprising by four other lordships viz. Justice Mr. S A Bobde , Justice Mr. D Y Chandrachud, Justice Mr. S Abdul Nazeer, and Justice Mr. Ashok Bhushan, the Constitution Bench, that was set up on January 8, 2019, heard the case for over 40 days from August to October, elivered the judgement on November 9, 2019

  1. The SC has ordered the Union Govt of India to set up a trust to build a temple on the Ram Janmabhoomi Site, while allotting alternative five acres of land for constructing a mosque in a suitable place in Ayodhya.
  2. The apex court has directed the Centre to formulate a scheme pursuant to the powers vested in it under Sections 6 and 7 of the Acquisition of Certain Area at Ayodhya Act 1993. The scheme shall envisage the setting up of a trust with a Board of Trustees or any other appropriate body under Section 6 who will undertake the construction of a Ram temple at the disputed structure site discarding the Mosque claim on that site on the ground that the Muslim sides failed to prove their title of possession there anyway.
  3. The SC has allotted the entire 2.77-acre disputed land to the Hindu sides for temple construction, refuting the one third sharing formula for all to Ramlalla Virajman ( Lord Ram existing in the Childhood form), the Nirmohi Akhada and the Sunni Wakf Board as settled by the Allahabad High Court earlier in 2010. The apex court clearly said that the three-way bifurcation by the High Court was legally unsustainable. Even as a matter of maintaining public peace and tranquillity, the solution which commended itself to the High Court is not feasible. The SC also said that dividing the land will not subserve the interest of either of the parties or secure a lasting sense of peace and tranquillity.
  4. The SC also ruled that the Nirmohi Akhara suit was not maintainable and it has no shebait rights (priestly rights). However, the court directed that in the Board of Trustees, the Nirmohi Akhara should be given fair and appropriate representation.
  5. The allotment of land to the Muslims is necessary because though on a balance of probabilities, the evidence in respect of the possessory claim of the Hindus to the composite whole of the disputed property stands on a better footing than the evidence adduced by the Muslims.
  6. The claim of Shia Waqf Board against Sunni Waqf Board to Babri Masjid was also dismissed+ by the apex court out-rightly mentioning the ‘inordinate delay of 24964 days’ to file the case by the Shia Borad in the case SLP (Civil) Diary No.22744/2017 Shia Central Board of Waqf U P…Petitioner -Versus- Sunni Central Board of Wakf …Respondent.
  7. The SC said that archaeological evidence cannot be brushed aside as conjecture and hypothesis. SC held that Archaeological evidence supports that the Babri Masjid was not constructed on vacant land but on a definite non-Islamic structure. However, Archaeological Survey of India findings did not say whether a particular Hindu temple was demolished to construct a mosque in 1528 by Mir Baqi, the lieutenant of Mughal ruler Babur.
  8. The court also said that the destruction of the mosque in 1992 happened in breach of SC orders. The desecration of the mosque by placing idols in 1949 and its demolition was contrary to the law, it added.
  9. The SC also recognised the Muslim invasion over the Hindu worship place by stating that the Mosque was not built on the plain land and there was an existence of un-Islamic structure beneath, but expressed inability to determine whether it was done by destructing the Rama Janmabhoomi Temple that was existing since the twelfth century.
  10. Besides this unanimous judgement, one of the judges also seriously attempted to clear the doubt on the Hindu faith Whether disputed structure is the holy birth place of Lord Ram as per the faith, belief and trust of the Hindus, in its 115 pages long ADDENDA in its verdict under a caption “Whether disputed structure is the holy birth place of Lord Ram as per the faith, belief and trust of the Hindus?

The Supreme Court has said that Hindus have established “a clear case of a possessory title” to the outside courtyard by virtue of “long, continued and unimpeded worship” at the Ram Chabutra and other objects of religious significance. While taking the scriptures, travelogues, archaeological evidences and legal provision, Court has maintained the uninterrupted claim of Ram Lalla Virajman over the place.
