In this video, we delve into the pages of Indian history, focusing on the heroic era of Marathas and their indomitable leader, Peshwa Bajirao Ballal. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj carved out an independent Maratha Empire, reconquering lands from the Mughals and Bijapur in Deccan. He was followed by his heroic son Shambhaji Mahraj and grandson Sahuji.
Bajirao was appointed Peshwa of the Maratha Empire by Sahuji Maharaj after the death of his father and the first Peshwa Balaji Vishwanath. Peshwa Bajirao is credited for the true pan-India expansion of the Maratha Empire, After the death of Aurangzeb, the Mughal empire collapsed quickly. Peshwa Bajirao seized this opportunity by capturing lands of the Mughals in Central India. In Deccan he successfully dominated the Bijapur and the Nizam of Hyderabad.
