- “In a family home, all the joy and laughter reside in the child’s room. We want the room to match its occupant,” says Neha Indori, Co-founder of children furniture startup Boingg!
- Bitten by the entrepreneurial bug, Neha discussed the idea with her husband, Vitesh, and her brother-in-law, Dhruvan Barar, an IIM-Kozhikode graduate who was then working with Quikr as a Senior Associate. Vitesh decided to continue working with BMW, while Neha quit her job at Infosys India and joined hands with Dhruvan to start Boingg!
- “Boingg! is the sound when kids are jumping up and down on the bed! The name signifies the sheer joy of that happy moment and also the fact that the kids can, in fact, jump on our beds as much as they want. We tested them with our own kids,” Neha says.
- Boingg! targets young couples between ages 25 and 35 years, with children between zero to six years old. It sells beds, tables, storages, cribs, changing tables, nursing chairs, sofas, teepees, playmats, among others. The price for Boingg!’s furniture starts from Rs 2,750 (for a wall shelf) and can go up to Rs 83,500 (for a bunk bed with an in-built wardrobe.)

- सेंटर फॉर एनवायरमेंटल प्लानिंग एंड टेक्नोलॉजी (CEPT), अहमदाबाद के 8 साथियों ने मिलकर कॉलेज के दिनों में ही कंपार्टमेंट्स एस4 (Compartments S4) नाम से एक आर्किटेक्चर कंपनी शुरू कर दी थी। इसके तहत उनका लक्ष्य सतत वास्तुकला के जरिए सामुदायिक विकास को बढ़ावा देना है।
- मोनिक शाह कहते हैं कि गाँव के लोगों के लिए छोटी-छोटी चीजों के भी बड़े मायने होते हैं। घुग्गूखाम गाँव के प्रवेश स्थल पर एक साइन बोर्ड लगा था, जो बेकार हो चुका था। इसलिए हमने वहाँ नया साइन बोर्ड लगाते हुए, उसमें एक स्पीकर लगा दिया। इसमें स्थानीय पक्षियों, लोक गीतों बारिश आदि की आवाज रिकार्डेड थी और जब भी वहाँ से कोई गुजरता, तो इसमें से काफी मीठी आवाज आती “घुग्गूखाम में आपका स्वागत है”, इससे ग्रामीणों को काफी खुशी हुई।
- मोनिक शाह ने बताया कि उत्तराखंड में खुले में शौच की काफी समस्या है। इसी को देखते हुए उन्हें पौड़ी जिला प्रशासन की ओर से शौचालय का मॉडल विकसित करने का मौका मिला। उन्होंने कहा, “सामान्यतः शौचालय बनाने में 3500-4000 ईंट और 25-30 सीमेंट की बोरियां लगती है, लेकिन हमने इसे मात्र 2 हजार ईंट और 15 बैग सीमेंट में बना दिया। इससे घर को थर्मल इंसुलेशन भी मिल गया।“मोनिक शाह कहते हैं कि इस परियोजना का उद्देश्य ग्रामीणों को शौचालय के महत्व को बताना था। इसलिए उन्होंने स्थानीय लोगों की जरूरतों को समझते हुए इसमें वेंडिंग मशीन, ब्रेस्ट फीडिंग रूम, आदि की भी व्यवस्था की। इस तरह, 150 वर्ग फीट के इस शौचालय को बनाने में महज 2 लाख रुपए खर्च हुए।

- विजेंद्र ने द बेटर इंडिया को बताया, “गाँव में मेरे चार तालाब हैं। इनमें तीन 60×40, जबकि एक 60×50 मीटर का है। एक तालाब में 5000 से लेकर 7000 तक सीप डाले जाते हैं। इनका मॉर्टेलिटी रेट 30 फीसदी के आस पास है। 70 प्रतिशत के करीब सीप मिल जाता है। एक सीप में दो मोती होते हैं। इस तरह 5000 सीप से 10 हजार के करीब मोती प्राप्त हो जाते हैं। एक मोती न्यूनतम सौ से डेढ़ सौ रूपये का बिकता है। एक तालाब से 5.50 लाख रुपये से अधिक की कमाई हो जाती है।”
- विजेंद्र के ज्यादातर मोती की सप्लाई हैदराबाद में होती है। इसके अलावा हरिद्वार, ऋषिकेश जैसी जगहों पर भी इनकी अच्छी मांग है। तीर्थ स्थान होने की वजह से मोती की बनी माला, अंगूठी आदि में धारण करने के लिए इन मोतियों की मांग वहाँ से आती है।
- विजेंद्र बताते हैं कि वह मोती की खेती के साथ मछली पालन भी करते हैं। इससे उनकी अतिरिक्त आय होती है। इसके अलावा वह अन्य किसानों को मोती की खेती के लिए प्रशिक्षित भी करते हैं।

- गोपाल बताते हैं कि सेब की खेती के लिए सबसे जरूरी चीज है इसकी ट्रेनिंग। किसी एक्सपर्ट किसान से सेब की खेती को समझना चाहिए। जरूरत पड़े तो कुछ दिन किसानों के साथ रहकर हर छोटी बड़ी जानकारी हासिल करनी चाहिए। दूसरी सबसे अहम बात है कि इसकी खेती के लिए ठंडी वाली जगह होनी चाहिए। पहाड़ी बर्फीली इलाके में सेब की अच्छी खेती होती है। इसके साथ ही धैर्य और डेडिकेशन की भी जरूरत होती है। प्लांट्स की अच्छे तरीके से देखभाल की जरूरत होती है।

- जब तक वह बेंगलुरू में रहीं तो वहाँ पर हाथ से ही मास्क बनाकर सफाई कर्मचारी, सब्ज़ीवालों, चौकीदार आदि को बांटतीं रहीं। लॉकडाउन के बाद वह सांगली लौट आईं। यहाँ भी अपने सभी काम करते हुए उन्होंने मास्क बनाना ज़ारी रखा। यहाँ पर वह अपनी सिलाई मशीन से मास्क बनाती हैं। उन्होंने अब तक 2000 से भी ज्यादा मास्क बांटे हैं।

- स्वास्थ्य मंत्री ने राज्यों के साथ शुरू किया संवाद, कहा- टीकाकरण के लिए मिलकर करनी होगी कोशिशें

- केंद्रीय स्वास्थ्य मंत्री डॉ हर्षवर्धन ने सोमवार को कहा कि विज्ञान और प्रौद्योगिकी मंत्रालय ने कोरोना के मामलों से संबंधित पूर्वानुमान मॉडल बनाने के लिए दुनिया के वैज्ञानिकों से संपर्क किया है। अनुसंधान आधारित उपायों में पाया गया है कि 3-4 महीनों तक उचित व्यवहार के जरिए भारत में कोरोना के मामलों में गिरावट की प्रवृत्ति बढ़ेगी। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि यदि एहतियाती उपायों का समुचित ढंग से पालन किया जाए तो फरवरी तक हमारे पास 40 हजार सक्रिय केस होंगे।
- केंद्रीय स्वास्थ्य मंत्री ने कहा कि टीकाकरण प्रक्रिया, कर्मचारियों एवं अन्य लॉजिस्टिक्स के प्रशिक्षण के लिए राज्य और केंद्र सरकार दोनों की ओर से मिलकर प्रयास किए जाने की जरूरत है। मैंने फिर से सभी राज्यों के साथ एक-एक कर, वहां की कोविड-19 की स्थिति और उनके मुख्य लक्षणों को लेकर बैठकें शुरू की हैं। आज सबसे पहली बैठक गुजरात के साथ की है। मुझे यकीन है कि हमारा देश आने वाले वक्त में भी कोरोना के मामलों में धीमी गिरावट की प्रवृत्ति को बरकरार रखेगा।
- उल्लेखनीय है कि हर्षवर्धन ने रविवार को कहा था कि कोरोना का सामुदायिक तौर पर संक्रमण चुनिंदा राज्यों के कुछ जिलों में सीमित है। उन्होंने साफ किया था कि कम्यूनिटी ट्रांसमिशन पूरे देश में नहीं हो रहा है। ‘सन्डे संवाद’ के छठे एपिसोड में सोशल मीडिया फॉलोअरों से बातचीत में उन्होंने कहा था कि पश्चिम बंगाल समेत अनेक राज्यों के विभिन्न हिस्सों में और खासतौर पर घनी आबादी वाले क्षेत्रों में कोरोना का कम्यूनिटी ट्रांसमिशन यानी सामुदायिक संक्रमण हो रहा है। सनद रहे कि केंद्र सरकार अभी तक सामुदायिक संक्रमण की बात से इनकार करती रही है।
