Curbing the violent elements, Government should ensure safety and security of Hindus of Meghalaya: Milind Parande

Press Statement:

Curbing the violent elements, Government should ensure safety and security of Hindus of Meghalaya: Milind Parande

New Delhi, November 03, 2022 – The orgy of violence that took place in Meghalaya’s capital Shillong on October 28, 2022 is highly condemnable. The manner in which the protest against ostensive unemployment by the Federation of Khasi-Jaintia and Garo People (FKJGP) turned into an all-out violent frenzy, is a cause of concern not only for the Meghalaya government or the central government, but for the entire country also. Shri Milind Parande, Central Secretary General of Vishva Hindu Parishad has demanded from the government to ensure the security of the innocent and peaceful Hindu society of the state by taking stringent action against the organizations acting as the hauler and mover agencies of the path of violence and separatism. Along with this, the political organizations of the secular fraternity, who give nourishment to the violence mongers, should also be pulled up and taught good lessons in constitution, democracy, dialogue and rule of law.

He said that apart from perpetration of dogged violence, the kind of political and anti-national slogans raised by the violent mob make it amply clear as to what powers are behind this ostensible agitation! It seems that the desperate opposition of Meghalaya and Bharat is instigating and activating a section of the youth of Meghalaya to go in for violence. FKJGP president Dundee Khongsit expressed a showy concern over the violence, and in the same breath threatened that the violent protests were only the beginning. It seems that they are not interested in a solution, but in remaining at the beck and call of their anti-India masters and agenda pushers and always willing to do their bidding by terrorizing the peace-loving society of Meghalaya through violence. The inaction of the administration there has added fuel to the fire.

The VHP Secretary General also said that such violence that has been going on for the last few years at the nods and winks of anti-national elements, is also quite apparently adversely impacting the development of Meghalaya. Tourism is the mainstay of Meghalaya’s revenue, but, unfortunately, there has been a sharp decline in it. Productive, commercial, occupational and corporate activities have come to a standstill. Traders and industrialists are unable to open their establishments. Due to the inaction of the police, people are compelled to stay home and away from public life and activities. Over the recent years, peace-loving people have migrated in large numbers.

Shri Milind Parande also urged the youth of Meghalaya that the solution to every problem in a democracy is through dialogue and not violence. Violence is neither in the interest of Meghalaya nor its youth. The youth power should not play into the hands of the secessionists and violence-mongers to serve their vested interests, but they should use this power for the development of their own self, their dear state and the nation.

The VHP expects from the Meghalaya government and the central government to take firm action against the violent elements and provide a suitable environment for the peace-loving tribal and non-tribal Hindu society to contribute to the development of Meghalaya. Violence can be the agenda of the separatists, not of the youth power conscious of its bright future. Presently the country is moving at a fast pace on the path of development. VHP believes that one can ensure one’s development only by riding a train of this development, but not missing or separating from it.

Rights of reservation for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes for Hindus only as per thespirit of Indian Constitution: Alok Kuma

Press Statement

Bangaluru. Oct, 16, 2022

‘The Central Government has appointed a Commission under the Chairmanship of former Chief Justice of India Shri k G Balakrishnan with the terms of reference including to examine

1) The matter of according Schedule Caste status to converted Schedule Caste;

2) Its implications to existing Schedule Caste

‘The notification appropriately notes that it shall require “extensive consultations”

‘The VHP reiterates that scheduled castes are the persons who have historically been deprived on the basis of their castes; while the Abrahamic religions claim to have no caste distinction amongst them and therefore SC reservation cannot be extended to them. For this purpose, VHP shall actively participate in the consultation process before the said Commission to assist it into arriving at the appropriate findings.

In 1950, the Constitution (Scheduled Castes) Order was issued making it clear that only Hindu Scheduled Castes would get reservation facilities. Despite this, Christian missionaries and islamic organizations have been making constant efforts for their irrational demands to extend this facility to converted SCs.

We wouldn’t allow to snatch the constitutional rights of SCs, said Alok kumar, the central working president Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP). The converted STs should also not be allowed to continue the rights of resevation guaranteed under the law to STs, he added.

While addressing a press conference in Bangaluru today he said that Dr Ambedkar and many Prime Ministers, including Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, had not acceded the demand to extend benefits to converted SCs. Shri Rajiv Gandhi, Deve Gowda and Manmohan Singh tried to accept this demand, but they had to back down due to the nationwide protests. The Sachar Committee in 2005 and the Ranganath Committee in 2009 had made some recommendations in this regard, but due to their self-contradictions and wrong methodologies, their recommendations could not be implemented.
Christian missionaries and Muslim leadership while claiming social equality in their religions and in the same breath raising this demand with great vigour is evidently self-contradictory.

The judiciary has also rejected their demand every time as illogical and unconstitutional. In the case of “Soosai Etc vs Union Of India And Others” on 30th September, 1985, the Hon’ble Supreme Court had clearly directed that the Constitution (Scheduled Castes) Order, 1950 and the amendments made to it were constitutional and this reservation could be given to none else other than Hindu, Sikh and Buddhist Scheduled Castes. In the cases of R.C. Poudyal; Somnath Poudyal; Nandu Thapa; Roop Raj Rai, etc., these
provisions of the Constitution (Scheduled Castes) Order, 1950 were considered appropriate and just, he said.

Due to the potential conversion surge and deluge, the peril of demographic alteration in many areas of Bharat will take a dire form. The consequences of demographic change hostile and ill-disposed to national interest are already obvious in many districts of Jammu & Kashmir, Kerala, Bengal, Northeast, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, etc. In those pockets, not only has religious intolerance increased, but also India’s identity and worldview and paradigm of ‘Sarv-Panth Samaadar Bhaav’ (‘mutual respect and
harmony among all schools of religion’) has been diluted.

The rights of the Scheduled cast communities of Bharat (India) can’t be allowed to be snatched away by the converts. Backed by their money power, political influence and international support, they will lodge themselves in all areas of reservation and all those members of the scheduled caste communities for whom the provisions of reservations were made will be deprived of the facilities.

Vishva Hindu Parishad would undertake a widespread public awareness campaign across the country to expose the conspiracies of providing reservations to the Scheduled Castes.

Swami Chinmayananda and VHP

The Vishwa Hindu Parishad was founded at Swami Chinmayananda’s ashram in 1962, with Swami as the founder-chairman.

In that year the pope was visiting India; Catholics had vowed to convert 108 Hindus to Christianity in each city the pope visited. Incensed at this predatory practice, Swami announced he would bring 1,008 back into the Hindu fold in each of the same cities. Reconversion of those who converted through enticement or coercion remains a central VHP goal.

From 1964, Swami had no formal post with the VHP, but served as spiritual guide. According to Ashok Singhal, general-secretary of the VHP, Swami was responsible for the concept of the Hindu vote bank. Swami observed in 1988, “Strength in a democracy flows out of the power to vote, not just through physical strength.”

Swami was not exempt from controversy. In fact, at times he invited it. He opened one meeting by saying emphatically, “I think that is not sufficient that I congratulate you all, but show you a mirror of what you have not been doing which is absolutely necessary. I know many of you may curse me in the end, but if a swami cannot take curses, who else can take them?” He raised hackles in the USA in 1979 with his pointed criticism of the failure of many Indian immigrants in the USA to infuse Hindu culture in their children and with the formation of temple societies among only family people without a guiding guru. He demanded–and personally set through extensive adult and youth camps–a higher standard of Hindu culture in the West.

TO WHOMSOEVER IT MAY CONCERN & TO ALL PUBLIC COMMUNICATORS, GOVERNMENT ORGANIZATIONS & SOCIAL ORGANIZATIONS As advised by & on behalf of my client Dr. Pravinbhai Mohanlal Togadia, age 57 yrs, I S. D. Jani Advocate 12, Shivshakti complex, High court Road, Bhavnagar, Gujarat  India do hereby state as under.

1.          That the report about a misinformed incident in Gujarat as appeared in an English newspaper Times of India dated April 21, 2014 which per our information, has appeared in the said news paper’s almost all India editions under varied headlines, is false, malafide & mischievous.

2.          That significantly, on the same day, i.e. today i.e. April 21, 2014 in yet another English newspaper namely Indian Express dated a completely different report has suddenly appeared which is about a misinformed description of an incident in Uttar Pradesh village in dist Pratapgadh.

3.          That it also is noticed that a heated debate has begun on yet another English TV channel namely Times Now on the said misinformed mischievous report as mentioned in the said Times of India.

4.          That the entire sequence of events as mentioned in the above 1, 2 & 3 clearly show that there is a bigger conspiracy against my client not only to defame him in public life but also to put his life & the lives of his family members & of the people associated with the organizations he is associated with in danger.

5.          That my client happens to be an International Working President of VHP i.e. Vishwa Hindu Parishad with Head Office in Delhi. The said organization is known to be caring for Hindu Well-being & welfare.

6.          That my client has been provided with the security of the Z+ level by the concerned governments to protect him from physical attacks on his life.

7.          That under the rules of the above said security level, the travel, stay & other details of the secured person are supposed to be kept confidential by the concerned authorities who provide the security to ensure that no pre-planned attacks take place on the secured person.

8.          That my client was travelling at night around 11 pm from Bhavnagar City ,Gujarat on April 19, 2014 for a night stay at the house of Mr. Bhavin S. Jani  the town Bhavnagar.

9.          That while travelling my client was told by one of the security men that a large group was protesting on the route because know that Togadia were to travel from this route.

10.        That my client as mentioned above was traveling at night, asked the security man as to how did the group know of the route which was supposed to be confidential per the security rules. The concerned person did not reply.

11.        That after reaching the night stay place i.e. the house of Mr. Bhavin S. Jani again my client was informed that the same group that was protesting for some reason wanted to meet him. Although tired by the day’s hectic work of introducing the free medical service to all in India, my client agreed to meet the said group for 5 minutes.

12.        That then the group of around 1000 people came to give my client a memorandum & presentation about how their houses were purchased under force & duress by some people.

13.        That the said group also informed my client that they stayed in an area in Bhavnagar before & even there their houses were forcibly purchased & that they moved to another area where there were temples & that even the new place they are being hounded to sell their houses to another group.

14.        That hearing their plea, as a law abiding citizen, my client advised them to follow the legal process of writing to the local administration, the concerned state government & approach the court if they felt that they are being forced into any selling of their houses.

15.        That my client also informed that there had been a ‘Disturbed Area Act’ existing in some places in Gujarat which was enacted by the earlier Government & that the said group may find out if the said act was applicable to them in the said matter.

16.        That we wish to state here emphatically that there was nothing socially or legally wrong in the above advice given by my client to the said group as mentioned above.

17.        That after one full day of this incident & with no provocation whatsoever, to our distress & surprise, we found the malicious report about our client in the English news paper namely Times of India dated April 21, 2014.

18.        That the said report as mentioned in above 17 gives a completely false story intended to malign my client socially & also putting his life in danger.

19.        That the timing of the other media reports such as in Indian Express front page which are totally unrelated of the misinformed incident of 2012, popping up on the same day i.e. April 21, 2014 mentioning my client’s name in a malicious way & then media debates followed by these reports are a definite conspiracy of planted stories by the vested interest parties against my client.

20.        That we hereby deny any such malicious reporting by all the media as mentioned above & demand the immediate CBI enquiry into the matter as mentioned hereunder:
(a) That who, how, to whom & why disclosed the security information such as travel route, stay place & so on, which is supposed to be kept confidential for the Z+ category
(b) That who all were involved in tracking the movement of my client during his travel & disclosing to the public in general even without verifying with my client whether he knew the said people.
(c) That who arranged the said Times of India reporter to be at the secured route late at night without any information to & permission from my client despite the Z+ security.
(d) That who managed the same say simultaneous appearance of reports in two different English news papers all India i.e. the misinformed, false & malicious reports of 2012 & 2014 that is a night before.

21.        That my client while denying of speaking of any inflammatory words as mentioned in the said Times of India report under different headlines all India as filed from Gujarat, demands a CBI investigation into the larger conspiracy of putting his life under threat by disclosing his security travel route & place of stay to general public.

22.        That my client now fears that this is a larger conspiracy in the General Elections time to draw benefit in votes at the cost of his freedom & his life. That my client also fears that the said orchestrated malafide, mischievous & malicious reporting of unrelated misinformed incidents in different media has been aimed at targeting his public & social life as well as the lives of my client, his family members & the people in the organizations with which my client is associated with.

23.        That the above suspicion is strengthened with the fact that for the past 3 months my client has been travelling extensively in India to introduce the Free Medical service for the poor & needy patients. That the regional media had been mentioning the same as but the said English media has not been mentioning the positive medical service however, the same Times of India, Indian Express & Times Now have simultaneously targeted my client on the misinformed unrelated incidents in a criminally defamatory, malicious & mischievous ways. That this proves that there has been a completely political conspiracy behind such ill-reporting about my client with the intention to harm his reputation, image & life and then to draw political mileage out of all this

24.        That once again while denying the concocted reporting in the above said & if so in any other media as false, malicious & malafide, we state here that such criminal conspiracy against my client may cause danger to my client’s life & reputation & that in such circumstances the entire criminal, financial, social & technical liability will be of the concerned Governments, its authorities, its various departments & all the people including the said media & all public communicators who have been involved in such a criminal activity against my client as conspirators.

25.        That we urge the Hon. Supreme Court to take note of the probable lethal attack on my client’s life, reputation & also lives of his family members as well as the people associated with the organizations to which he offers his services.

26.        That we urge all the public communicators to immediately refrain from spreading malafide, false, criminally defamatory & dangerous stories against my client & putting him in life threat, failing which my client will be free to take further legal steps as stipulated under all prevalent laws & Acts.

Council for Parliament of World Religions Withdraws from Swami Vivekananda 150 celebrations in USA

The Commie + Abrahamic religion combine is a strong force in the West it seems. These are forums which also have Hindus of USA in it but they don’t seem to have been consulted in this decision.  Needs to be protested.

Source

CHICAGO, USA, September 13, 2013 (TCN): (HPI Note: This startling turn of events was announced on twocircles.net, a website reporting on issues of concern to Muslims in India. The withdrawal was done without consulting the Hindu members of the Parliament’s board of directors.)
American branch of right-wing Hindutva group Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) suffered a major setback today when a respectable interfaith organization the Council for a Parliament of the World’s Religions (CPWR) decided to withdraw from the event that VHPA was organizing in Chicago.

VHPA is holding event marking 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekanda which will feature Baba Ramdev as the chief guest (see here). It is “co-hosted” by many Hindu organizations based in the USA. Air India is also listed as one of the co-host.
120-year old CPWR is the organization that invited Swami Vivekanda to Chicago in1893. In a statement issued today [see here, issued by Mary Nelson, CPWR’s Executive Director] CPWR said:

“We honor Swami Vivekananda and that legacy he left creating interfaith cooperation to build a just, peaceful, and sustainable world. Our organization was not informed that an event we were asked to co-sponsor was also co-sponsored by organizations promoting controversial political positions. While we do honor and promote the ideals of Swami Vivekananda, we respectfully withdraw our name from any co-hosting or co-sponsorship of the ‘World Without Borders’ event and any connection to this event or its other co-sponsors.”

Coalition Against Genocide (CAG) [see here for a list of members–it is mostly comprised of Muslim, leftist and Christian groups] has welcome the move by the CPWR to disassociate itself VHPA’s event. “Hindutva extremists are exploiting Swami Vivekananda’s name to surreptitiously gain credibility and respectability in the US. On the one hand the VHP is fanning the flames of currently raging sectarian violence in Muzaffarnagar in India through virulent anti-minority propaganda and on the other its followers in the US are trying to project Hindu supremacist ideology of Hindutva as pluralistic,” said Dr. Shaik Ubaid, a spokesperson for CAG.

“This incident exemplifies attempts by Hindutva organizations to legitimize their virulent politics by appropriating the legacies of important historical personalities such as Swami Vivekananda,” said Dr. Raja Swamy, also a CAG spokesperson . “These have gone largely unnoticed and unchallenged until now mostly due to the general lack of understanding on the part of US institutions of the divisive and violent agenda of Hindutva groups in India,” Dr. Swamy added.
