Samartha Ramdas and Sajjangarh

Had a darshan of Samartha Ramdas Swami’s “Samadhi” on Jan 12th, 08, which is in the Sajjangarh fort, near Satara, Maharashtra. Ramdas swami remains an inspiration for the technique he developed in infusing Nationalism and Dharmic devotion among ordinary people across the country by his concept of Hanuman temple, akhaada and a Paathashaala in every village. His emphasis on Rashtra chintana along with spiritual sadhana is more relevant today than it was anytime before.

    1. dhanyavaad for your comments & your link to the official website of Sajjangarh.

I was particularly fascinated by Swamiji’s resolute determination & his ability to inspire and guide Sivaji maharaj thru some of the most turbulent times of Indian history.

  5. plz give the imforation about the way to the sajjangad if you can

    1. Depends on where you are starting from. I generally reach Satara and travel by bus from there. Interesting route thru the ghats.

    Well said.
The border villages of east and north-east need the akhaadas the most.
A missionary approach only can meet the present needs.
