Lest we forget the humiliation we faced on Diwali night in 2004

Namaste

As we begin the festivities this Diwali, it is important to remember that it was on Diwali night in 2004 that the Hindu populace was subjected to one of its worst humiliations. The arrest of a Shankaracharya of a Peetha. The peethadhipati of a tradition of of more than 2500 years, Pujya Swami Jayendra Saraswati.

It is important to remember that the Swamiji was arrested and subjected to treatment of worse than that of a petty criminal…and then began the trial by media. Overnight, the media turned him into a schemer and a criminal mastermind for the sake of petty TRP ratings. Or is there something more in the media than meets the eye ? Who are these media houses working for and why did they not wait for the facts to come out?  Why did they go about blaring in their channels about concocted stories ? Are they working for foreign agencies interested in destabilising the country, and subjecting the Hindu to shame.

Swami Jayendra has come out victorious in most of the cases that are running and a few more are running it seems…but it is important that the Hindus do not forget this humiliation that they were subjected to both by the media and by the Govt.

Ayush
